Elisa, Liz and Megan strive to provide friendly, accommodating care, listening to their client's needs and responding with the highest quality skin and hair treatments. The salon is built on a strong foundation of experience and a belief in natural, organic options that enhance your physical and mental well-being. Owner and Aesthetician, Elisa James, founded Urban Escape Salon with the vision of creating a garden sanctuary in which to nurture beauty and escape the usual salon frenzy. With a passion for exploring innovative natural ingredients, equipment and technique, her goal is always to give Urban Escape's clients the best.Known for her skin rejuvenation treatments and gentle, soy Brazilian waxes, she takes special effort to provide clients with a totally private, relaxing experience.In addition to Urban Escape, Elisa is an active volunteer with community nonprofits and is on the Abbot Kinney Festival Board of Directors.

Framesi With products that guarantee the quality of effective service while strictly observing hair structure, Framesi's specialty lies in select and innovative raw materials and carefully balanced formulations. Each product is part of a complete method, which ensures that both hair and scalp are restored to their natural balance following technical treatment. This blend of quality and balance is the basis of my color and hair treatment regimen, for which I have attained Master Colorist certification and am proud to offer with all of my services.Framesi was founded in 1945 by Roberto Franchina who, initially with two partners, sold products ranging from talcum powder to brilliantine. Franchina then started to run the company on his own and moved into manufacturing - focusing in particular on hair care products - placing his laboratory in the hands of a pharmaceutical chemist. With time, Framesi expanded exponentially, gradually broadening its product range and reinforcing its nationwide sales network. In 1970 Framesi branched into colorings, proposing "the Italian way to color", which soon conquered foreign markets, especially North America. The number of products grew to meet every type of hair's need and became increasingly specialized. The late Seventies saw the launch of Italian Style Framesi, an interdisciplinary group that studies the latest trends in social behavior and fashions and designs its prêt-à-porter hairstyle collections accordingly. The group revolutionized hairdressing salons by providing hairstylists with an instrument that allows them to suggest a look that is sure to respond to their customers' needs.

Soma Organics Soma's focus has two criteria - Quality and Environmental Impact. Heading into an extremely competitive market place at it's peak, Soma had noticed that as smaller companies were gobbled up by the "big guys," the quality of the products were losing ground in favor of funding large marketing campaigns. Professional products were shifting from stylist-support products to marketing-savvy mass retail products. At the same time, a prosperous economy over shadowed environmental awareness. Experience Braziliante by Cadiveu, a high-quality, formaldehyde-free Brazilian Keratin treatment unlike any other brand on the market. The amazing smoothing effect of this treatment is achieved through a 3 step process. First, the Anti Residue Shampoo opens the hair shaft cuticles so that the Braziliante by Cadiveu will be deposited in the cuticle. The heat from the blow dryer and flat iron activate the ingredients which are then sealed to the hair. Lastly, the Deep Conditioning Masque serves to equilibrate the hair pH values, leaving the hair frizz-free, shiny and reconstructed for up to 16 weeks.

Liz McAdam hails from Glasgow, Scotland, where she originally trained as a hairstylist for three years. Seeking to further develop her career, Liz move to Milan for seven years where she continued to hone her skills in Italian style, cuts and color. She ultimately landed in Los Angeles, where she has been building experience over the course of 15 years providing specialized hair color, extensions and Brazilian Keratin treatments.

Megan Wageman An Aveda Institute New York graduate, Megan joined Urban Escape Salon in June of 2010 and brings six years of experience as a hairstylist and colorist, specializing in Italian cuts and high quality natural color treatments that leaves your hair healthy and looking great. Her career involved fulfilling an assistant role for over a year followed by work as a full-time hairstylist and colorist at Xenas Beauty Company in NYCs West Village under owner, head stylist and Framesi Lifetime Achievement Award honoree, Xena Parsons. During this time, Megan been honored as Teammate of the Year for two consecutive years, achieved consistently high client retention records, entrusted to lead cut and color classes, and attained Master Colorist Certification for the Framesi color line. She also has experience as a stylist for weddings, fashion shows and photo shoots, and has worked with many different product lines including Onesta, Pureology, Barex Italia, Aeto Botanica, TIGI, Aveda, and others.
